Expertise

Dynamics and Vibrations, Resonant Micro-Systems for Timekeeping and Sensing, Vibration Absorbers for Rotating Machinery, Nonlinear Modal Analysis.

Personal Overview

My research and teaching interests are in the general area of dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems with a focus on nonlinear and noisy behavior. I am particularly interested in the fundamental physics, modeling, and design of resonant micro/nano-electro-mechanical systems, their applications in time-keeping and sensing, and in the dynamics and design of centrifugal pendulum vibration absorbers for rotating machinery, with automotive applications.
